CCÉ Oregon’s Annual Irish Music Campout
Come and join your fellow Irish music lovers for an unforgettable weekend of camping, tunes, and dancing at the beautiful and welcoming Zigzag Mountain Farm! Bring your instruments, dancing shoes, and hiking boots (and earplugs if you plan on sleeping, because the session’s going all night long!) for the COVID-compliant social event of the summer.
Nestled at the base of Mount Hood—about an hour’s drive from Portland—Zigzag is the music camper’s dream with 50 acres of meadows and forest, bordering thousands of acres of national forest. Camp in your own tent/van/small RV or, if you’re not into roughing it, rent one of eight adorable yurts (each featuring a small porch, electricity, and real beds!). The farm also boasts an organic garden, year-round creek, campfire circle, picnic area, campers’ kitchen (in a retired city bus!), BBQ, kids play structure, and hiking trails.
We’re renting the cabin for the weekend, where we will hold some indoor events like workshops and set/ceili dancing (it’s not a grange hall, but it’ll do; mind the dresser!). The cabin also features a kitchen, private bath, and a big wrap-around porch, perfect for sessions!
In order to keep the event safe and healthy for all, we are limiting attendance to fully vaccinated CCÉ members. So if you’ve been putting off renewing your membership or scheduling your COVID-19 vaccine, do it now! We ask everyone attending the event to please fill out and return a signed copy of our COVID-19 guidelines to acknowledge that you have been vaccinated and are aware of the protocol. The document can be found here.
