Tune Explorer Sessions
Learning & Slow Session, 1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month, 1-3 p.m.
Learn to play traditional Irish tunes! Enjoy playing in a friendly slow session. Build your skills and confidence.
Twice-monthly sessions for learning Irish tunes and playing them in a slow session. In each session a seasoned player teaches a tune (or two) and leads the group in a slow session. Ability to read sheet music is helpful but not required. Sheet music & play-along tracks are available for free before, during, and after the session. $5 per session. Comhaltas Oregon Youth Session
2nd & 4th Sundays of the Month (open to youth)
Seisiún na nÓg is our twice-monthly youth session. Youth are welcome to sit in to listen and chat with young musicians about learning Irish music; or bring their instrument and strike up an Irish tune they might be learning currently.
11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Hostel Café, 810 NW Glisan Ave, Portland OR 97209. These sessions are occasionally cancelled or rescheduled, so contact youthofficer.mod.cce@gmail.com to confirm a session or to be added to the session’s email list.
